The Hudson's Bay Company ran this fur trading and farming post on Puget Sound from the 1830s, part of a British commercial claim to country the United States was also claiming. The granary, built in 1843, is the oldest standing building in Washington and one of very few surviving Hudson's Bay post and plank structures. It and the factor's house were moved from the original site at DuPont into Point Defiance Park, where they anchor a living history museum.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
