Stillwell Avenue, where four subway lines end
1919
Stillwell and Surf Avenues, Coney Island, Brooklyn

Eight tracks and four island platforms, opened in 1919 and 1920, built when every rail line in southern Brooklyn was laid to funnel the summer crowd onto one beach. It is the southernmost terminal in the subway system and one of the largest elevated transport terminals in the world. The D, F, N and Q still end here.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
