George C. Tilyou spent the early 1890s buying up rides scattered around the island, then fenced them into one park in 1897. It burned in 1907, was rebuilt, and outlasted both Luna Park and Dreamland before closing in 1964. Fred Trump bought the land for housing that never went up, and a minor league ballpark was built on it in 2001.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
