Stargate, the psychic spies of Fort Meade
1978

For nearly twenty years the government paid remote viewers in two wooden buildings at Fort Meade to describe Soviet submarines, hostage locations and lost aircraft from inside their own heads, a program that survived on the argument that if there was even a chance it worked, the Soviets were surely trying it too. The CIA's 1995 evaluation found nothing operationally useful and closed it. About twenty million dollars had bought two decades of the strangest paperwork in the federal archive.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
