Sitting Bull buried at Fort Yates
1890
Fort Yates, North Dakota
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
Agency police sent to arrest him during the Ghost Dance alarm shot him outside his cabin on the Grand River, forty miles south of here, along with his son and six of his supporters. He was buried at this post. In 1953 a party from Mobridge dug up remains at night and reburied them in South Dakota, and which grave holds him is still argued over.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
