Seventeen Mile House becomes Millbrae, and eventually the end of the BART line
1864
Millbrae, California

The stop opened in 1864 as 17 Mile House, named for one of the roadhouses that marked distance out of San Francisco along El Camino Real, on land deeded by the banker Darius Ogden Mills. It was renamed Millbrae after his estate the next year, and burned down and was rebuilt twice by 1907. The town took its name from the station rather than the other way around. BART reached it in 2003, making this the southern end of the system on the peninsula.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
