Scarborough Faire opened here in 1981 and now runs weekends from early April to Memorial Day on a thirty-five acre site set in the England of Henry VIII. About a hundred costumed cast members work the grounds alongside two hundred craft shops, and there are three full armoured jousts a day across more than twenty stages. It is one of the largest renaissance fairs in the country and it is the reason a lot of Texans have ever heard of Waxahachie.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
