Racine invented malted milk and printed Little Golden Books
1887

An English immigrant named William Horlick worked out how to malt milk into a powder here in 1887, meaning to feed invalids and infants, and instead gave the world malted milkshakes and the malted milk ball. A few streets away Western Printing ran the presses for Little Golden Books, so most of the cardboard-spined children's books in twentieth-century America physically came out of this city. Racine is also heavily Danish, which is why it is the place in the United States where you buy kringle.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
