Project Diana bounces radar off the moon
1946
Camp Evans, Wall Township, New Jersey
On 10 January an Army team at a coastal radar camp aimed a bedspring antenna at the rising moon and, two and a half seconds later, heard their own pulse come back, the first time a human signal had reached another world and returned. It proved a signal could punch through the ionosphere, which is the whole basis of everything later bounced off satellites, and it started radio astronomy.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
