Voyagers from the Marquesas and later Tahiti crossed 2,000 miles of open ocean in double-hulled canoes, navigating by stars, swell and birds. Moʻokini Heiau in North Kohala is traditionally dated to about 480, and the islands were the last major landmass on Earth that people reached.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
