A peanut farmer from a town of about seven hundred people ran for president out of the disused railroad depot on the main street, with his mother holding court on the porch of the Best Western and reporters filing from a town with one traffic light. He won. The depot is a museum, and the family still comes to the same church.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
