New York City's first casino opens in a grandstand

Resorts World opened in 2011 inside the Aqueduct grandstand as the first casino inside New York City, though state law at the time allowed only video lottery terminals and automated tables rather than live dealers. It became one of the busiest gambling floors in the country almost at once, and the revenue it sends to Albany is a large part of why the racetrack next door eventually lost the argument. A 400 room hotel was added later.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
