Ernest Graham started a dairy on this land in 1932 and built it into one of the largest in Florida. Rather than sell out to developers his family laid out 3,000 acres of the pasture themselves from 1962, working to a master plan by the landscape architect Lester Collins, with 23 lakes and a walkable main street. The place did not incorporate as a town until 2000. Bob Graham, who grew up on the dairy, became governor of Florida and a United States senator.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
