Linndale runs a mayor's court on a few hundred feet of interstate until the state shuts it

Linndale is the smallest village in Cuyahoga County, about a hundred residents on five blocks by two, landlocked inside Cleveland and Brooklyn. Interstate 71 clips its edge, and the police force worked that short stretch hard enough that the village mayor's court took in around 800,000 dollars in fines in 2012, roughly three quarters of what Linndale spent to run itself. A state law signed that December abolished the court in March 2013.
