Lantana turns Rayzor family pasture into 3,500 houses
2000
Lantana, Texas
Republic Property Group bought roughly 1,780 acres from the Rayzor family, longtime Denton County landowners, and broke ground in March 2000 on a subdivision named after a native Texas flower. The first residents moved in during July 2001. The plan leaned hard on a Hill Country look, with low stone walls and windmills, and the place now holds around ten thousand people without ever becoming a city.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
