Lakeside opened on 24 March 1960 as the first regional shopping mall in the New Orleans area, on what was then the edge of the built up parish. It runs to roughly 967,000 square feet with five anchors and more than 120 stores and restaurants. It is still the largest and busiest mall in the metro.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
