Grant's Farm, the land Ulysses S. Grant farmed and the Busches kept
1848
Grantwood Village, Missouri
Frederick Dent gave this land to his daughter Julia and her new husband Ulysses S. Grant shortly after their marriage in 1848, and Grant worked it himself in the years before the Civil War made him famous. The property later passed to the Busch brewing family, who lived on it and opened much of it to the public. It is one of the few places tied to Grant's civilian life that people can still walk through.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
