EVIT, the first joint technical district in Arizona
1991
Mesa, Arizona
The East Valley Institute of Technology opened on West Main Street in the autumn of 1991 as Arizona's first joint technological education district, a shared campus that member high schools across the East Valley send their sophomores, juniors and seniors to for trade training. Districts elsewhere in the state copied the structure afterwards. It is the reason a Mesa teenager can learn welding, nursing or diesel repair without leaving the public school system.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
