Culver's started in Sauk City
Sauk City, Sauk County, Wisconsin
CC0 · Wikimedia Commons
George and Ruth Culver and their son and daughter-in-law opened one restaurant on the edge of Sauk City on 18 July 1984, selling frozen custard and a burger cooked with butter on the bun. There are now around a thousand of them across twenty-six states, and the company is still run out of Prairie du Sac across the river. In Wisconsin the fried cheese curds are the actual reason anybody stops.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
