Coraopolis Armory, replacing one that arrived by river
1938
Coraopolis, Pennsylvania
Coraopolis got a permanent brick armoury on Fifth Avenue in 1938, designed by Thomas Roy Hinckley, and the Pennsylvania National Guard took the keys that December. The building it replaced had come to town the cheap way, floated down the Monongahela and the Ohio. A Guard signal company still uses the 1938 building.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
