Boxwood Hall, home of the president of the Continental Congress

Elias Boudinot moved into this house in 1772 and was living here when he served as president of the Continental Congress in 1782 and 1783. He sold it in 1795 to Jonathan Dayton, the youngest signer of the Constitution and later speaker of the House. It is a National Historic Landmark and open to visitors as a state historic site.
