Aqueduct opened in 1894 beside the Brooklyn water conduit that gave it a name, and it outlasted every other track inside the city line. Belmont and Saratoga got the glamour. The Big A got winter, when it was the only place in New York with thoroughbreds on the ground. The last races were run on June 28, 2026, and the land is being handed to the casino next door.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
