The Unitarian congregation on Elm Street organised in 1900 and five years later had a fieldstone church with a crenellated tower, designed by the Boston architect Edwin J. Lewis Jr. It was the first stone church building in Braintree. George O. Wales, a leading Unitarian in the town, gave the land.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
