West Cape May throws its Lima Bean Festival every October in Wilbraham Park, with craft vendors, food stalls, and dishes built around the borough's namesake bean. The festival has run since the late 1980s as a nod to the lima bean fields that once covered this stretch of Cape May County. It draws several thousand visitors to a town of under a thousand residents for one Saturday each fall.
