Merchants and galleries in Old Town Bay St. Louis open together on the second Saturday of every month, with live music filling the sidewalks. The tradition has run for more than thirty years and is one of the coast's steadiest local gathering nights.

Founded in 1966, Nereids is the oldest Mardi Gras krewe on the Mississippi coast and one of few all women krewes in the state.
