Downtown Staunton turns into a Harry Potter inspired wizarding village for a weekend each fall, with local shops recast as wandmakers, potion sellers, and creature keepers. Started in 2016, Queen City Mischief & Magic has grown into one of the largest fantasy themed street festivals on the East Coast. It is free to attend and run by the city's downtown development association.
