Downtown Irvine celebrates the spring morel hunt each April with a mushroom cook-off, foraging contests, and a display of Kentucky agate, the state rock found along the nearby Kentucky River. A 5K run, live clogging, and crafts round out the Estill County weekend, which has run for more than 25 years. The 2027 dates above are approximate, based on the festival's usual late-April slot.
