In A Pickle Fest turns the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds into a pickle themed weekend, with pickle vendors, a pet parade, pickle eating contests and home canning competitions. Billed as the largest pickle festival in Texas, it has become a Rosenberg fixture drawing crowds from across the Houston area. Recent editions have added anime themed food and programming.

Bruce Belin and Associates bought about 1,450 acres of farmland northeast of Richmond in 1973 and started building at the end of that decade, wrapping the streets around a 27 hole golf course and keeping the old pecan trees the place is named for.
