A Halloween attraction at the historic Van Cortlandt Manor estate in the Hudson Valley, featuring more than 7,000 hand carved illuminated jack-o'-lanterns arranged into themed scenes along a walking trail. Produced by Historic Hudson Valley, it has run every fall since 2005 and is now one of the largest Halloween events in the region. Tickets are sold in advance only.

Third rail electrification on the Hudson Line stops just north of this station, so Croton-Harmon is where commuter New York physically ends and the rest of the state begins.
The Van Cortlandt family built this stone and brick manor house where the Croton River meets the Hudson, at the centre of a colonial land grant that ran for tens of thousands of acres.
Officially the Great Hudson River Revival, this is the oldest and largest environmental music festival in the country, and every dollar it raises goes to the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater organisation Pete Seeger helped found to clean up the river.
