Fort Bend County Fair combines a rodeo, livestock competitions, a carnival, and a concert lineup at the county fairgrounds in Rosenberg. It marks its 90th anniversary in 2026, one of the older county fairs in the Houston area. The 2026 run is September 24 through October 4.

The state bought this Brazos bottomland in the mid 1880s and made it Harlem, its second prison farm, after years of leasing prisoners out to private planters.
Bruce Belin and Associates bought about 1,450 acres of farmland northeast of Richmond in 1973 and started building at the end of that decade, wrapping the streets around a 27 hole golf course and keeping the old pecan trees the place is named for.
