A week-long county fair at the El Paso County Fair and Events Complex in Calhan, east of Colorado Springs, with 4-H livestock shows, a rodeo, a demolition derby, and carnival rides. The fair has run for more than 120 years as the county's agricultural showcase. It draws roughly 25,000 visitors from the rural plains east of the city.
