A juried outdoor art show at Cottonwood Park in Richardson, drawing more than 200 artists from around the country. It began in 1969 and now runs twice a year, on the first weekend of May and the first weekend of October, with live music and a beer garden alongside the artist booths. The fall 2026 edition runs October 3 and 4.

Galatyn Park in Richardson fills with concert stages, a juried fine arts market and a carnival midway each May for this three day festival.
Artists first laid blankets and set up easels at Cottonwood Park in Richardson in 1969, and the show has run twice a year ever since.
Collins Radio and Texas Instruments drew engineers to Richardson in the 1950s, and the deregulation of the phone business in the 1980s turned that pool of talent into a telecommunications cluster.
Six Muslim families and a handful of students who had been praying in each other's houses incorporated this association in 1969.
