The Clifton Forge Shrine Club's Fall Foliage Festival closes off downtown for a weekend of country ham sandwiches, doughnuts, crafts, and gospel, bluegrass, and country music in the Alleghany Highlands. The Shrine Club has organized it since the 1970s as a fundraiser and community gathering. The 2026 edition follows more than fifty years of continuous coverage in the local Virginian Review.
