Natural Bridge, Rockbridge County, Virginia

A limestone arch two hundred and fifteen feet over Cedar Creek that George Washington is said to have surveyed and that Thomas Jefferson simply bought, paying the Crown twenty shillings for it in 1774 and calling it the most sublime of nature's works. He built a cabin and kept a guest book. US 11 crosses the top of it, so most of the traffic passing over has no idea.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
