Utica's Burgoo Festival is the LaSalle County Historical Society's largest annual fundraiser, named for the communal stew served at the event. More than 375 craft and flea-market vendors line the streets near Starved Rock State Park each October. The festival dates to 1969 and is now in its 56th year.
