Fifty-nine seconds of 16mm film of a large figure walking away across a sandbar, shot on a creek in the Six Rivers forest. It is the single most examined piece of footage in cryptozoology and has never been conclusively shown to be either genuine or a hoax. The word Bigfoot itself came from this same drainage in 1958, coined by a newspaper reporting oversized tracks around a logging road crew.
