Trinity Forest Golf Club put a PGA Tour stop on a capped landfill
2016
Southern Dallas, Texas
Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw laid a treeless links course over a closed landfill southeast of downtown Dallas, and it opened for play in 2016. The AT&T Byron Nelson moved out here in 2018 and got two playings before the PGA Tour dropped it from the 2020 schedule. A course with almost no trees on it sits at the edge of the biggest urban hardwood forest in the country.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
