The yellow submarine in Coney Island Creek
1967

Jerry Bianco, a shipyard worker, spent three years building a forty five foot submarine out of salvaged metal, meaning to reach the wreck of the Andrea Doria and bring up whatever was worth bringing up. The crane tipped it over on launch day in 1967 and it stuck in the mud. It is still in the creek, repainted yellow in 2015 to seal in the original zinc chromate.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
