The USS New Jersey, the most decorated battleship in the fleet
1943
Camden, New Jersey
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
Commissioned in 1943, the Iowa class battleship earned more battle stars than any other American battleship and was the only one to fire in Vietnam. She shelled Guam and Okinawa, screened carriers in the Marshalls, and came back out of mothballs three separate times. She has been moored as a museum on the Camden waterfront since 2001, across the river from the Philadelphia yard that built her.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
