The Teleport, a satellite office park in the woods
1985

The city and the Port Authority put up a hundred acre business park in the middle of the 1980s built around satellite dishes and fibre, on the theory that Wall Street back offices would move to cheap land if the data followed them. Five buildings went up and AT&T became the anchor tenant. It pulled 4,000 workers out in 2001, and the dishes that named the place have mostly gone.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
