Joe Pavek taught at Dunwoody Institute, where students were handed old radios to take apart for practice, and in 1946 he began keeping the ones he could not watch be destroyed. What he rescued grew into one of the most significant collections of vintage radio and television equipment anywhere, now a museum in St. Louis Park.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
