The Milpitas Monster
Milpitas, California
![]()
A high school in a town best known for the smell of its dump made a feature film about a creature that rises out of the dump. Students did the effects, the city lent police cars, and the mayor appeared as himself. It played the local theatre, then drifted into the sort of fame that only a town can give a thing.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
