The Millennium Carillon, 72 bells on the Naperville Riverwalk

Naperville marked the turn of the millennium by raising a 160 foot concrete tower on its Riverwalk and hanging a grand carillon of 72 bells inside it, one of only a handful at that size anywhere in the country. A carillonneur plays it from a keyboard of wooden batons struck with the fists. The exposed concrete has needed repeated and expensive repair since.
