The 72 foot campanile stands on what used to be the Colorado Women's College campus in Park Hill. A trustee gave its 30 bell carillon in 1961 in memory of her husband, Charles S. Hill, and the bells sit visible from the ground in a stone lattice lantern at the top. It is the oldest authentic carillon in the state, and for 38 years it was the only one in Colorado played by hand rather than by machine.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
