The Kinzua sky walk

When it opened in 1882 the Kinzua Viaduct was the highest railroad bridge on earth, 301 feet over the valley, billed as the eighth wonder of the world. In July 2003, mid-restoration, an F1 tornado tore eleven of its twenty towers out of the ground in thirty seconds. Pennsylvania left the wreckage where it fell and turned the surviving spans into a glass-floored walkway that ends in open air, looking down on the twisted steel.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
