Standard Candy put marshmallow nougat, caramel and peanuts under chocolate and sold it as the first combination candy bar in America, at a time when a bar was expected to be one thing. It later sponsored the Opry for decades, which is where the story that the name stands for Grand Ole Opry comes from, the bar is thirteen years older than the show.
