Milton, Massachusetts

William Ralph Emerson designed this eclectic late Victorian stone house on Canton Avenue for William Ellery Channing Eustis in 1878, and the grounds also carry other family houses, a gatehouse and a stable. Historic New England owns most of the original estate and opened it as a museum in 2017. The whole property was listed as a historic district in 2016.
