The California State Fair
1854
Sacramento, California
CC0 · Wikimedia Commons
The first state fair in the West, held before California was six years old and moved permanently to Sacramento in 1861. It still judges the state's wines, cheeses and olive oils, and runs a working monorail.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
