The megaplex boom of the late nineties landed in Mesquite in March 1998, on 33 acres where Interstate 635 meets US 80. Thirty screens, all stadium seating, and three separate concession stands done up as Main, Western and Jungle. It was the largest cinema in the area when it opened, and the older multiplexes a couple of exits down the loop did not last long afterwards. AMC tore out rows of seats in 2014 and turned it into a dine in house with a bar in the lobby.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
