Joseph A. Tomasello built this thoroughbred track on East Boston fill for $2 million and opened it in 1935. Seabiscuit, Whirlaway, Cigar and Funny Cide all ran here, and the Massachusetts Handicap was its big day of the year. Live racing ended on 30 June 2019 and the land was sold for housing and shops.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
